Blacksmithing – Rose
This Blacksmithing workshop is designed to lead on from our Introductory Blacksmithing course and is ideal for those who would like to continue developing their forging skills and techniques.
During the day you will be working with two different metals – before combining the various pieces to create the stunning ‘Copper and Steel Rose’.Each rose is different and unique – it’s a day of creativity for all the potential ‘Blacksmith Artists’ we have waiting out there!!
The course is limited to just 3 participants so that each person has their own anvil to work on throughout the day.
Please come dressed in clothes you don’t mind getting dirty and that are cotton based – denim jeans are ideal. Sturdy boots also need to be worn during the day – bring your own or we can provide them.
This course starts at 9.30am and finishes at approximately 4pm. The building will be open from 9.15am so please arrive ready to start on time. The Craft Centre is the wooden barn with two chimneys, next to the dry stone walls. It is easily visible from the car park. Free exit car parking tickets will be given out at the end of the course.
